Theory test
The CBR theory test is about more than signs. You get questions on rules, priority and situations. On this site you practise the signs: recognising them, the meaning, and what you should do.
How the car theory test works
These are the CBR arrangements for the standard car test. Motorcycle and moped differ on some points.
- You arrive fifteen minutes early and check in at the registration pillar.
- You take the test on a computer. The standard test lasts 30 minutes.
- There are 50 questions that count, plus 2 trial questions that do not.
- You pass with 44 or more correct answers.
- You can move back and forth, and mark a question to return to later.
- During the test you do not see which question was wrong. The result does show how you did by topic.

Start with shape, colour and memory aids. Then the quiz of 20 signs. If you miss a sign, look it up under all traffic signs.
This is not an official CBR practice test and it does not cover the whole exam.
For a car, a passed theory test is valid for 18 months. The end date is in Mijn CBR. Do not book the test months before your driving lessons start.
